It will work with any charger or solar charge controller. Specs and Features of the Bogart Trimetric TM-2030-RV-F:

Easy to read display--easy to darken

Battery % full, based on amp hour measurements for accurate information on how much battery energy is left. This method is more accurate than monitors that use only voltage to determine how full your batteries are especially when they are between 30-90% full.

Battery charging or discharging amps or watts; To check that chargers are still charging at proper amounts also to check to see how much your loads are drawing and to discover phantom 24 hour loads that you may not know about.

Battery volts (9.0 to 75): to verify that chargers are charging to correct voltage for your batteries.

Audible low battery alarm, based on volts and % full. May be silenced.

Days since charged: ; Shows how many days have elapsed since batteries were last fully charged. Batteries can lose ability to hold charge if this becomes too long.

Days since equalized: A reminder to equalize at appropriate time if you do manual equalizations

Replaced percentage of charge, compared to most recent discharge--Many battery company experts are now recommending that when recharging, 110-115% of recently withdrawn energy be replaced for wet cell Lead acid batteries and 104-108% for AGM types. This new function makes it easy to know.

Required but NOT included with the Bogart Trimetric TM-2030-RV-F:

Shunt: A shunt is required for operation. (see the 500 amp shunt listed to the right of this page under "Related")
-Use 500 amp shunt (see under "Related" to the right of this page for more information) for systems with a maximum continuous current of 400 amps with no overloads or 300 amps continuous with up to 5 minute overloads to 500 amps maximum. This allows amp readings as low as 0.10 amps. These are suitable for virtually all systems with moderate or large size inverters.
-Use 100 amp shunt for systems with a maximum current of 75 amps continuous with no overloads or 50 amps continuous with overloads to 100 amps for 8 seconds maximum. These are suitable for small systems or for most applications where you want to measure only alternative energy input and load output current. This allows amp readings as low as 0.01 amps.

Four conductor wire so the TriMetric can be located a distance away from the batteries for ease of use.
-Using 22 ga. wire the maximum distance is 55 feet.
-Using 18 ga. wire the maximum distance is 150 feet. (It can be placed farther away if heavier wire is used.)
