The MidNite Solar 300V Surge Protector Device (MNSPD) is a Type 1 device per UL1449 rev3. Protection for Classic and other charge controllers, off grid PV combiners and 120/240 VAC circuits.

Protection is achieved by reducing the clamping voltage to a safe level that your system can sustain without damaging any electronics in the system. The MNSPD is designed to clamp a 115,000 amp surge! Blue LED's provide visual indication of operation from a distance. For more information, see the installation manual below.

NOTE: The DC SPD will work well on all DC circuits up to 300 volts as well as any 120/240 VAC circuits. The difference between the AC and DC SPD is the way the LED's are powered. The protection side of things are identical.
