The primary purpose of the Omnicharge DC battery chargers is to use a vehicle starter battery to charge an auxiliary or service battery. The voltage of the input battery may be higher, lower, or equal to the voltage of the output battery. As a result, the auxiliary battery can be perfectly charged with the Omnicharge DC charger while also being shielded from damage brought on by peak voltages. Traditional fixed step-up/step-down converters and conventional charging relays are unable to provide all of this.
Vehicles with smart alternators with variable output are compatible with the Omnicharge DC battery chargers. It can begin charging either solely or in conjunction with an engine run signal, depending on a programmed input voltage range. Additionally, an independent (BMS-) control input that enables external control for charger-on and -standby is readily available.
Delivering up to 900W from a remarkably small container offers the best in class power density. There are charge programmes for the majority of the most used battery types, however, these can also be altered using the Dashboard for Windows or Dashboard Mobile apps. The operation of the status output is also programmable, along with input start/stop voltages and delays.
All Omnicharge DC units are simple to install and include clear installation and operating instructions, a temperature sensor, cable lugs, and cable grommets as standard equipment.
