The RA212N3 automatic transfer switch can be integrated with the Cummins Quiet Connect generator. This 2-Pole, 200 Amp Automatic Transfer Switch is designed for 120/240-Volt single-phase applications. This switch is not intended for service entrances.

Utility electricity is monitored via the RA212N3 transfer switch seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. The transfer switch signals the generator to start when utility power becomes unreliable or fails, and when the generator is ready, it automatically transfers the load. The transfer switch automatically shifts the electrical load from the generator to the utility when reliable utility power is restored. The homeowner doesn't need to take any action.

Automatic transfer switches from the RA series can be used in standby power systems for homes and small businesses because they are UL-1008 rated. The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the National Electrical Code (NEC) are both met by the RA212N3. Aluminum Enclosure NEMA Type 3R Rated for Indoor/Outdoor Installation.

The "break-before-make" connection in the transfer switch mechanism means that the connection to utility power is severed before the connection to generator power is established. When the switch switches from generator power to utility power, the identical make-before-break action takes place.

To ensure that regular and emergency power sources are never linked simultaneously, electrical and mechanical interlocks are used to stop the connection of utility power and generator power. Utility power and generator power are never combined.

All switches have UL-1008 approved CU-AL terminals for safety and are compliant with NEMA ICS 10, NFPA 70, and UL-1008 safety standards.
